{"id":151,"date":"2011-02-16T10:52:48","date_gmt":"2011-02-16T18:22:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salesjumpstart.net\/blog\/?p=151"},"modified":"2011-02-16T10:56:05","modified_gmt":"2011-02-16T18:26:05","slug":"contractorleads-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salesjumpstart.net\/blog\/2011\/02\/16\/contractorleads-com\/","title":{"rendered":"contractorleads.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Contractorleads.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A client forwards an email from <strong>contractorleads.com<\/strong> offering appointments.<\/p>\n<p>I call the sales representative for contractorleads.com\u00a0 and hear the standard sales pitch.\u00a0 Leads generated from T.V, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Internet\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internet\">Internet<\/a> and other sources.\u00a0 The problem I have is I have never seen contractorleads.com on line in Colorado, or on T.V.\u00a0 So how are they going to generate a prospect?<\/p>\n<p>I ask my standard question of any company a client is thinking of advertising with. Can you provide 3 references in this market?\u00a0 <strong>contractorleads.com<\/strong> tells me no, it&#8217;s propitiatory. Huh?\u00a0 How is giving out a reference proprietary?<\/p>\n<p>So I ask who runs the company.\u00a0 <strong>contractorleads.com<\/strong> tells me they don&#8217;t release this information, and the sales rep is getting pretty sick of my difficult questions.\u00a0 To her credit she does put me on hold to ask a manager if she can tell me.\u00a0 She comes back and says she is sure she can not, but they are owned by a group of investors in an LLC.
