{"id":2672,"date":"2015-06-04T15:39:39","date_gmt":"2015-06-04T23:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salesjumpstart.net\/blog\/?p=2672"},"modified":"2015-06-04T15:39:39","modified_gmt":"2015-06-04T23:09:39","slug":"how-to-set-up-your-lead-generation-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salesjumpstart.net\/blog\/2015\/06\/04\/how-to-set-up-your-lead-generation-program\/","title":{"rendered":"How to set up your lead generation program."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT'; font-size: large;\">How to set up your lead generation program.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">Many sales consultants and sales coaching firms talk about the 5 to 7 numbers you need to understand to grow your<br \/>\nbusiness. \u00a0In every case they start with the number of leads you will need, \u00a0and then move to how many you need to covert<br \/>\nto customers, and then average revenue per customer&#8230; so on and so on.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"color: #660066; font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #990033; font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">\u00a0<\/span><b><i><span style=\"color: #990033; font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">These 5 or 7 numbers are all based on \u00a0missing elements<\/span><\/i><\/b><b><i><span style=\"color: #cc3300; font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">!<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">But here is whats missing, and it is the foundation of lead generation. \u00a0You must start with what you can <\/span><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">pay for a new<br \/>\ncustomer<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT';\">, and then apply your conversion or closing rate to get to the number of leads, not that you need, but what you<br \/>\ncan afford! \u00a0You can then see dramatic improvement in obtaining more leads by improving your closing percentage.<br \/>\nIncreasing your closing percentage will dramatically increase \u00a0the number of leads you can afford.<\/p>\n<p>Generating leads is easy! \u00a0I&#8217;ll say it again, GENERATING LEADS is easy. \u00a0Paying for leads is the challenge. Hey, if you have a<br \/>\nbig enough budget lead generation isn&#8217;t the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Now, for those of us who have a limited budget, lets look quickly at how you build your lead generation program, and<br \/>\neventually your sales plan from it.<\/p>\n<p>What can you pay for a customer?<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Gill Sans MT'; font-size: medium;\">This could be a percentage of your gross sales price. \u00a0It&#8217;s going to depend on your gross margins. \u00a0If your gross<br \/>\nmargins are 50%, you may be able to pay 30% \u00a0for a new customer.
